5 Tips for Passing the NREMT
Submitted by admin on Wed, 05/02/2012 - 13:06An EMT student recently emailed us after he failed the NREMT and asked for some advice. This is what we told him. Since exam season is rapidly approaching we thought it was a good opportunity dust off and update one of our most popular topics.
1. Determine what the question is asking. Many (or most) questions are scenario-based. They are relatively tight and have a minimum of information. Look at the question with a big-picture perspective first. Read it and absorb it. Many questions end in "you should" or "you should next."

Submitted by admin on Thu, 04/26/2012 - 10:38I taught a session of an EMS educator class yesterday. I enjoy this very much. Teaching educator classes requires you to not only know your material, but to also model good educational practices while in front of the class.
Much of what I do appears to be left cerebral hemisphere-based. I write books and develop apps. But I have found that everything I do has a strong right hemisphere-based concept behind it. Even my textbooks start with a singular conceptual or visual theme somewhere in the dark recesses of my brain.
